CULTURE OF FUSARIUM FUNGUS USING BEER LEES AND AGRICULTURAL MATERIAL COMPOSED OF ITS CULTURED MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To mass-produce a nonpathogenic Fusarium having a control effect on soil borne diseases of plants by culturing it in a culture medium composed of beer lees under a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:A nonpathogenic Fusarium is cultured in an open system using beer less as a culture medium under 40 to 70wt.%, preferably 40 to 60wt.% water content. Admixing of the cultured material with the soil can prevent plant diseases and promote growth of plants. As the fungal strain, Fusarium oxysporum IFD 9971, IFO 6385 or SK 102 (FERM P 12965), etc., is preferably used.
