PURPOSE: To control the intake timing of sample light and the arbitrary phase angle of an AC power supply for an atomic absorption photometer so as to be always definite and to make the phase relationship between the two variable in order to enhance the reproducibility and the detection sensitivity of analytical data in the atomic absorption photometer. ;CONSTITUTION: The flameless Zeeman atomic absorption photometer is constituted in such a way that a phase detection hole is made in a chopper 4 for light classification, that a phase detection signal is obtained from the chopper 4 turning synchronously by a hole detector 11, that a control function by which the timing of the phase detection is made to coincide with the intake timing of sample light is provided and that, when a power supply is turned on, the two signals are turned synchronously in a state that they coincide with each other. In addition, the mounting position of the hole detector 11 can be moved, and it can be adjusted in such a way that the phase relationship between the two signals becomes optimum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
