PURPOSE: To provide a cutting tool made of WC composite carbide-based cermet excellent in the wear resistance. ;CONSTITUTION: A cutting tool is made of WC composite carbide-based cermet. This WC composite carbide based cerment has the composition consisting of 3-20wt.% bonding phase composed of Co alloy where 0.1-20wt.% of one or two or more kinds of Cr, V, Ta and Nb to the bonding phase is solid solved, W and the balance the dispersed phase composed of the composite carbide 0. 1-20atm.% of one or two or more kinds of Cr, V, Ta and Nb to the total amount containing W.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
