Replacement device for welding jig for side panel in car body assembly line

PURPOSE:To make the jig change efficient while under operation without increasing a line side space by making the jig change free between a standby position and a stock device by a crane device by providing the stock device on the machine frame of the upper part of a welding station. CONSTITUTION:A welding station 6 is provided on the way of the side panel work line 4 provided in parallel to a floor work line 1 and the welding equipment 8 having a welding jig 7 is arranged. At the machine kind changing time the welding jig 7 for the next machine kind located at a standby position is reversed to the welding position by the reversal motion of the turn table 9 located at the welding equipment 8 to perform the change of jigs. In such case, the used jig 7 is separated form a frame 10 and a crane device is stopped at the just upper part of the standby position of the welding station 6 with its lateral movement, and the jig 7 is placed on the table 16 of the above of the stock device 13. The next welding jig 7 is then selected to the change position by the rotat-ion of the table 16, the jig change of the welding equipment 8 is completed, a crane 21 is moved to the welding station 6 of the other side and the jig change is similarly performed.
