PURPOSE:To prevent the perching of a bird by a method wherein a projection for preventing the perching of a bird thereon is provided at the upper part while another projected part, having a weight larger than the upper projection, is provided at the lower part of the title device. CONSTITUTION:A tubular part 2 for attaching the title tube to an electric wire E is provided in a protecting tube 1 and a projection 3 for preventing the perching a bird thereon is projectingly provided at the upper part of the tubular part 2 while a downward projecting part 4 is provided on the opposite side of the projection 3. The lower projected part 4 is constituted so as to have a proper weight in the degree of two times of the projection 3 or more whereby the projection 3 is faced to upward at all times by the weight of the projection 4. The protecting tube 1 is provided with the projection 3 and, therefore, it is hard that a bird perches thereon while the protecting tube 1 is swung when the bird perches thereon and becomes unstable whereby the bird can not perch thereon for a long period of time.
