PURPOSE: To provide a corrosion resistant treatment method by a laser beam which does not form carbon precipitated parts on a corrosion resistant apparatus consisting of stainless steel products contg. above a prescribed content ratio of carbon. ;CONSTITUTION: Segregation metal layer exposed parts 6 of the corrosion resistant apparatus 5 for a nuclear fuel reprocessing plant consisting of the stainless steel products are irradiated with the laser beam 2, by which the surface layers thereof are melted and recrystallized. The segregation metal layer exposed parts 6 are reirradiated with the laser beam 2', by which the molten surface layers and heat affected zones 9 near these layers are subjected to a soln. heat treatment of rapid cooling after heating up to a temp. above the solubility limit and below the m.p.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
