PURPOSE: To provide a method for efficiently rearing and producing a tuber of a cyclamen for preservation, having a high germination and regeneration ratio and suitable for preservation at low temperatures. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a tuber of a cyclamen for preservation is to culture a young plant body redifferentiated from an adventitious embryo of the cyclamen in a liquid culture medium containing sucrose at 2-9% concentration as a carbon source without containing a phytohormone, thereby rearing a tuberous part of the young plant body, then removing the leaf and stem part and root part of the young plant body and collecting the reared tuberous part as a tuber of the cyclamen for preservation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
