PURPOSE: To enable vacuum leakage to be detected during the operation of an absorbing type cold/hot water machine by calculating an actual bleeding interval on the basis of the length of time when the absorbing-type cold/hot water machine is actually operated, so as to take it as a basic data of judgement, and by comparing the actual bleeding interval with an allowable value. ;CONSTITUTION: The inside of an evaporator 11 of an absorbing-type cold hot-water machine is maintained to high vacuum degree, and water (refrigerant) introduced therein is evaporated, thereby heat is taken from the periphery. The generated steam is absorbed by absorption liquid in an absorber 12, and the absorption liquid whose the concentration is diluted is fed into a regenerator 13 and heated, thereby water is evaporated. The separated absorption liquid is returned to the absorber 12. In this case, the total time Ta when the absorption cold/hot-water machine is operated from the measurement/registration starting time t1 to the measurement completed time t2, and number of times (n) wherein a bleeding device is automatically operated between the times t1, t2 are found.
