FIREWORKS VARYING IN SHAPE BY USING MATERIAL HAVING SHAPE MEMORY EFFECT

PURPOSE: To shorten a fireworks assembling time at a site and to further enhance spectators interests by mounting a cylinder packed with explosive or explosive at a material having a shape memory effect. ;CONSTITUTION: A shape memory material 1 is so treated to store a shape as to become a specific waveform at the ambient temperature. The material l is also so treated to store a shape that the waveform becomes other specific waveshape when the material 1 is raised at its temperature. A plurality of cylinders 2 in which explosives are packed in the materials 1 are mounted. Primer vents 3 of the cylinders 2 in which the explosives are packed are respectively connected to safety fuses 4. When constructed in this manner, it is small before ignition and does not occupy a place. When a mounting part is provided, mounting of the cylinder 2 packed with the explosive is facilitated. After ignition, the material 1 is raised at a temperature by burning of the explosive. The material 1 is varied in its shape by the temperature rise to alter to a predetermined shape. The material 1 is returned to the ambient temperature for a while after the burning of the explosive, and hence it is changed in shape to be returned to another shape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
