PURPOSE: To concentrate an object to be analyzed on a column, minimize the band width and improve the analyzing efficiency and precision by mixing a surface active agent in a sample to be filled in the column and pouring moving phase to separate the object to be analyzed. ;CONSTITUTION: Surface active agent 107 reserved in a source 106 is mixed with sample 105 from a sample manipulator 104 to produce sample/surface active agent mixture 109. The mixture 109 is injected into a column 110 with a sample injector 116. On the other hand, a column pump 118 supplies moving phase solvent 120 in a reservoir 121 into the column 110. The composition of the solvent 120 is adjusted by a gradient programmer 122. Temperatures in the sample/surface active agent reservoir 108 and the column 110 are controlled by temperature controllers 126 and 128, respectively. The absorbance of sample components separated in elusion is detected by a detector 112 and the concentration of object to be analyzed is calculated from the absorbance of the component band.
