INITIAL CRACK DETECTING METHOD IN LIFE TEST

PURPOSE: To provide a method for detecting the occurrence of initial crack during rotation of a work in life test. ;CONSTITUTION: In a life test, flexure is detected by means of a sensor 5 at every predetermine r.p.m. (1000r.p.m.) thus determining the variation of flexure during a predetermined r.p.m. (5000r.p.m.). A decision is made that a work (e.g. a wheel) 1 is cracked when the variation of flexure increases temporarily and then the rotation of the work 1 is stopped and the crack in the work 1 is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
