PURPOSE: To surely improve working efficiency without exerting adverse influence on stages following an extracting part by stopping a transporting part to charge a material or to preferentically extract the next material in accordance with the allowable time till a scheduled time of material extraction. ;CONSTITUTION: The materials W are successively charged into the charging part 3 of the main body 9 of a heating furnace with a charging device 5. After these materials W are transported in the furnace with he transporting part 2 and heated, the materials are extracted from the extracting part 4 on an extracting device 6 and sent to a hot rolling stage. In the walking-beam type heating furnace 1, the scheduled time of material extraction and necessary time for transporting are calculated with a time arithmetic processor 16 based on a material requesting signal from a mill line controller 18 and furnace heating state signal from a combustion arithmetic unit 19 and outputted to a material transportation controller 10. When there is a spare time, material feeding is executed in the state where the transporting part 2 is stopped. At the point of time when time runs out, the operation of the transporting part 2 and the extraction of the next material with the extracting part 4 are prioritized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
