PURPOSE: To provide a method for piecing a sliver, capable of simplifying the drive controller of a spinning machine and of improving the operation efficiency of the spinning machine, because a sliver-piecing work can be performed without stopping a spinning unit. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for piecing a sliver comprises pulling out a prescribed length of the sliver (s) from a can E under the feeding of the sliver to a spinning frame, relaxing the sliver (s), and subsequently piecing the sliver (s) under the feeding to the spinning machine with the sliver (s') of a full can F.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
