DIELECTRIC COAXIAL RESONATOR AND DIELECTRIC FILTER USING THE DIELECTRIC COAXIAL RESONATOR

PURPOSE: To make the size of plural dielectric coaxial resonators in multi-stage arrangement compact by using a triangle prism shaped dielectric body whose cross sectional shape is trianglar so as to form the dielectric coaxial resonator. ;CONSTITUTION: The dielectric coaxial resonator 1 is a 1/4 wavelength dielectric coaxial resonator whose end is short-circuited and employs a prism shaped dielectric 2 made of a ceramic or the like whose cross sectional shape is a rectangular equilateral triangle in which a circular throughhole 3 is made at an inner center O of its cross section. An inner conductor of the resonator 1 is an electrode 4 made of a copper, a silver or a platinum or the like formed on an inner circumferential face 2a of the throughhole 3, and an outer conductor is an electrode 4 formed on a side face 2B opposite to the inner conductor. The end faces of the inner and outer conductors are short-circuited by an electrode 4 formed on one end face 2C. An axial length L of the dielectric 2 is 1/4 of a guide wavelength λg with respect to the resonance frequency f₀, and the electrodes 4 are formed by applying a conductive paste made of a copper, a silver or a platinum or the like to the inner circumferential face 2A, the side 2b and the end face 2C and heating them at a prescribed baking temperature.
