METHOD FOR CONTROLLING RIPE ROT OF GRAPE AND COATING ROLLER TO BE USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To efficiently and surely control the ripe rot of grape compared with conventional process comprising the spray of agrochemicals or the picking-off of the affected fruit and obtain grape having excellent quality by uniformly applying a water-proofing coating material to the surface of a surface skin of a twig of one or two years old to form a water-proofing coating layer, thereby preventing the supply of water such as rain water to the grape tree. ;CONSTITUTION: A grape twig (g) of one or two years old is pinched between a pair of sponge rollers 2 impregnated with a water-proofing coating material such as coating and the rollers are reciprocated in the direction of the twig while pinching the twig. A water-proofing coating layer is formed on the surface of the surface skin of the twig (g) and the direct supply of water such as rain water to the surface skin of the twig is prevented to enable the control of the ripe rot of grape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
