PURPOSE: To obtain a fluorinating agent capable of industrially readily dehydrating and far higher in nucleophilic resctivity than conventional trihydrates and hydrofluoric acid adducts. ;CONSTITUTION: The tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride alcohol adduct is exprossed by general formula (1) (n-C₄H₉)₄NF.ROH (R is an alkyl; m is an integer of ≥1). The compound of the formula is obtained by treating a tetra-n- butylammonium fluoride hydrate of formula (2) n-C₄H₉)₄NF.mH O₂ (m is a number of ≥3), with a large amount of an alcohol.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
