POLISHING DEVICE FOR BOTH END SHAFT-LIKE PART

PURPOSE: To improve a flat smooth surface condition by pressing by a rotating belt and rotating both end shaft parts of a work to be polished against a holding polishing part on which parallel abrasive tapes are bent roughly in a V-shape and supported, running the abrasive tapes, and oscillating the work to be polished in the axial direction of both end shaft-like parts of the work to be polished by an oscillating means. ;CONSTITUTION: Each abrasive tape T is run on a supporting part 8 of a support member 1 formed roughly in V-shape. A work W to be polished is fed over the abrasive tape T on the supporting part 8. Next a belt for rotating 30 is lowered and pressed against the work W to be polished to press both end shaft- like parts M against V-shaped holding polishing parts 18. Then the belt for rotating 30 is run, and the work W to be polished is oscillated in the axial direction of both end shaft-like parts M by an oscillating mechanism. In this case, the belt 30 for rotating is positioned aslant relative to the direction at right angle to the axial direction of both end shaft-like parts M of the work W to be polished, and the work W to be polished is pressed forcibly toward the oscillating axis direction of the oscillating mechanism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
