PURPOSE: To obtain an effectiveness-increasing agent for agrochemicals capable of safely using without causing toxicity against crops and exhibiting excellent effectiveness-increasing action on an agrochemical. ;CONSTITUTION: This effectiveness-increasing agent for agrochemicals contains, as effective component, a fatty acid alkanolamide expressed by formula I [R1 is a normal or branched 5-29C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 and R3 are each H, methyl or a mixture of H and methyl; (n) is 1-30 in average; (m) is 0-30 in average], e.g. a compound selected from formula II to formula V. A compound of formula I is obtained e.g. by producing a fatty acid monoethanolamide from a fatty acid and monoethanolamine and successively subjecting the obtained monoethanolamide to addition with alkylene oxide by a conventional method to obtain an alkylene oxide adduct of the fatty acid monoethanolamide. The compounding ratio of a compound of formula I to an agrochemical is (the compound of formula I/a technical product of an agrochemical) =0.03-50, preferably, 0.1-10 in terms of weight. The effectiveness of the technical product of the agrochemical is increased by 2-3 times. By using a surface active agent in combination with a compound of formula I, the quantity of the compound of formula I can be reduced while keeping the effectiveness increasing action.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
