NOXIOUS INSECT CONTROLLING AGENT FOR PROTECTING HANDICRAFT MATERIAL FROM NOXIOUS INSECT

PURPOSE: To obtain a noxious insect controlling agent having strong and residual insecticidal effect on noxious insects damaging handicraft materials, especially termite. ;CONSTITUTION: This noxious insect controlling agent contains a nitroimino compound of the formula (Z is 2-chloro-5-pyridyl or 2-chloro-5-thiazolyl; R¹ and R² are H or 1-4C alkyl), e.g. 1-(6-chloro-3-pyridylmethyl)-3,5-dimethyl-2- nitroiminohexahydro-1,3,5-triazine. The handicraft materials to be protected by this controlling agent are wood, woody plywood, paper, leather, leather product, natural or synthetic polymers and woven fabrics and especially preferably wood and woody plywood. The noxious insects to be controlled by the agent are insects of the order Isoptera, Coleoptera or Hymenoptera. The agent may be combined with at least one kind of fungicide, bactericide or algiclde to completely protect the handicraft materials.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
