摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a method for recovering unreacted acrylonitrile from a waste stream of a reaction of acrylonitrile in the presence of an acid and purifying the acrylonitrile. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for purifying unreacted impure acrylonitrile used in the synthesis of a compd. produced by reacting a reactant with an excessive acrylonitrile in the presence of an acid comprises the steps of: treating impure acrylonitrile with a base and removing the resultant salt to obtain treated acrylonitrile; heating the treated acrylonitrile in a heat exchanger at a temp. above the m.p. of the treated acrylonitrile and below 172°F in vacuo to feed a heated fluid material; placing the fluid material in a distillation column with the interior being kept in vacuo; and withdrawing purified acrylonitrile having a low b.p. from the distillation column.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
