ENZYME COMPOSITION FOR HYDROLYZING PHYTIC ACID OR PHYTATE AND HYDROLYSIS OF PHYTIC ACID OR PHYTATE

PURPOSE: To obtain an enzyme composition capable of carrying out the hydrolysis of phytic acid or phytates contained in a food or a feed at a high efficiency and effective in improving the bioavailability and absorption of phophorus in an animal living body. ;CONSTITUTION: This composition is an enzyme composition having a phytic acid (phtate)-hydrolyzing activity and contains a phytase having the phytic acid (phtate)-hydrolyzing activity in a region of pH 2.5-5.0 and an acidic phosphatase having the phytic acid (phytate)-hydrolyzing activity at a pH value of 2.5. The phytase and acidic phosphatase are contained in amounts at a pH 2.5/5.0 activity profile defined as a ratio of the phytic acid (phytate)-hydrolyzing activities at a pH value of 2.5 to that at a pH value of 5 within the range of (0.8/1.0) to (3/1) having synergetic actions on the phytic acid (phytate) hydrolysis.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
