PURPOSE: To reduce the weight of a planar antenna part and to sharply improve the operability and mobility by improving the efficiency of a solid state power amplifier, reducing power consumption and a cooling function in the amplifier part and separating the amplifier from a power supply part. ;CONSTITUTION: Plural stable and highly efficient Ku band 5-watt level solid state power amplifiers 13 are directly mounted on a planar antenna part 6 constituted of arranging respective sub-array antenna elements 12 and heat generated by these amplifiers 13 is discharged by a heat pipe. Respective amplifiers 13 are separated from a power supply part 9 for the amplifiers 13 and connected to the power supply part 9 through plural DC power supply cables 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
