DESCENDING ESCAPING DEVICE FOR EMERGENCY REFUGE

PURPOSE: To constitute the device so that it is small in size and suitable for carrying, and a refugee can descend and escape at a constant speed irrespective of his body weight. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a motor-driven type rotation driving mechanism for supporting and containing a reel and a drum so as to be freely rotatable in a case member 20, winding round several times over a high tension wire rod 60 which can support weight of the human body to the reel and the drum, and leading out its end part to the outside of the case member and driving to rotate the reel and the drum through a worm gear mechanism in the case member. The case member is also provided with belt-like hanging members 70, 76 for connecting and supporting the human body, and at the time of emergency refuge, the end part of the high tension wire rod is fixed to a fixed member of a building side, and the human body is connected to the case member through the belt-like hanging members. Subsequently, the reel and the drum are driven to rotate at a low speed by the motor-driven type rotation driving mechanism, and while drawing out the high tension wire rod from the reel, a refugee can descend and escape onto the ground along an outer wall of the building.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
