PURPOSE: To prevent the thread end of satin stitches from getting loose even in the case where the edge part of an applique piece is arranged so as to be approximately matched with the edge part of fabric to be worked and the satin stitch for sewing the applique piece is finished near the edge part of fabric to be worked. ;CONSTITUTION: A polymerizing edge 19 of an applique piece 17 is arranged so as to be approximutely matched with the edge part of an upper front body part 37 for the jacket of a uniform. A stain stitch 40b for sewing the appique piece 17 to the upper front body part 37 is provided with a forward stitch part 401 generated from the non-edge part of the upper front body part 37 to the edge part and a backward stitch part 402 finished after being generated for 15 stitches, for example, from the generating edge to the non-edge part of the upper front body part 37. A sewing stop stitch 404 in a short stitch length is sewn while being overlapped on a final stitch 402ω of the backward stitch part 402.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
