DEVICE FOR FILTERING ECG SIGNAL AND MANUFACTURE OF FIR FILTER

PURPOSE: To solve the problem of ringing and phase distortion without using a reverse filtering, by providing a filter or a combination of a plurality of filters and proving signals of frequencies of their passing region with a nonlinear phase response more delayed that signals of frequencies of a transition region. ;CONSTITUTION: ECG signals are composed of small variations superimposed by a large DC voltage. To remove this voltage, the signals are filtered by a filter 14 having a same phase response but adding a reverse signal compared with the RC circuit. The filter 14 is appropriately implemented as a form of a digital filter and also a filter combination. The impulse response of the RC circuit delays the signals in a passing region than those in a stop region and, after the ECG signals are processed in the filter 14, the frequencies of all the signals are delayed at almost same degree and the signals become suitable for a succeeding processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
