METHOD FOR ANALYZING SHAPE CHARACTERISTIC OF GRAPHIC OR THE LIKE

PURPOSE: To objectively evaluate shape by analyzing a shape characteristic based on plural characteristic constant having the reproducibility with accuracy having no trouble for practical use regardless of the size. ;CONSTITUTION: The shapes of a character, symbol or graphic are made to database by obtaining the following nine kinds of exponents of FX/FY, A/(FX, FY), CYV/(FX².FY), 2AMP/(FX+FY), 2PM(FX+FY), LNG/WA, (LNG/ WA)×(PM/AMP)², (CGX-X)/FX and (CGY-Y)/FY are calculated from various measured data, and shape characteristic analysis is performed by using the whole part or one part of respective exponents. Wherein, A is the real area of the object, FX is a ferre-diameter in an X direction, CYV is cylindrical volume, APM is the surrounding length of the object, PM is the total sum of the surrounding length of the object, LNG is a length (=APM/2), WA is an average width (=2A/APM), CGX is a centroid coordinate in the X direction, CGY is a centroid coordinate in a Y direction, X is a minimum X coordinate and Y is a minimum Y coordinate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
