PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition capable of giving flexible coating films, comprising resin(s) bearing two or more hydroxyl groups and a blocked polyisocyanate produced by reaction between aliphatic or alicyclic polyisocyanates and polycaprolactone-modified polyols. ;CONSTITUTION: This coating composition capable of giving coating films good in flexibility, chipping resistance and appearance, comprises (A) a blocked polyisocyanate obtained by urethanization of a mixture of (1) an aliphatic or alicyclic polyisocyanate and a cyclic trimerized polyisocyanate polymer therefrom and (2) at least two kinds of polycaprolactone-modified polyols differing in number-average molecular weight from each other (this blocked polyisocyanate has the following characteristics: the residual active isocyanate groups have been blocked; the molar ratio of the isocyanurate group to the urethane group stands at (5:5) to (1:9); and the content of the effective isocyanate groups in 100 pts.wt. of the solid content stands at 1-10 pts.wt.) and (B) at least one kind of resin having two or more hydroxyl groups in one molecule.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
