PURPOSE: To provide a new DNA useful for the production of prostaglandin F_2α receptor acting to luteal body to suppress the production of progesterone and induce the luteolysis. ;CONSTITUTION: A DNA coding the receptor of bovine prostaglandin F_2α. A bovine prostaglandin F_2α receptor cDNA (BC2211) constructed of the 2,222 bases of formula. PCR is carried out based on the base sequence of a prostanoid receptor to which prostaglandin F_2α belongs, a DNA fragment specific to bovine luteal body is separated, a cDNA coding a bovine prostaglandin F_2α receptor is cloned from a bovine luteal body cDNA library using the DNA fragment as a probe and the sequence of the cloned cDNA is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
