CULM-TRANSFER APPARATUS OF COMMON-TYPE COMBINE HARVESTER

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus for transferring culms in good transfer state by placing a transfer chain in a transfer pipe of a transfer elevator for reaped culm, providing the bent part in the middle of the transfer pipe with a chain-tensioning apparatus and placing a successively lowering rail on the lower plate of the bent part. ;CONSTITUTION: The culm transfer apparatus of a common-type combine harvester has a reaper 4, a transfer elevator 18 and a thresher 3 arranged from the front to the rear. The culm reaped by the reaper 4 is transferred to the rear thresher 3 through the transfer elevator 18. A bent part 19a bending upward when viewed from a side is formed in the middle of the transfer pipe 19 of the elevator 18 and a transfer chain 27 having a number of transfer plates 28 attached to the chain is rotatably supported in the transfer pipe 19 by the following means. A tensioning apparatus 29 to press the transfer chain 27 downward is attached to the upper face of the lower plate of the bending part 19a of the transfer pipe 19 and the transfer chain 27 is supported with a rail 31 made of a durable material and placed on the upper surface of the lower plate of the bending part 19a in a state to gradually rise from the upstream side of the transfer direction to the bending part 19a and gradually decline from the bending part 19a to the downstream side of the transfer direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
