摘要

PURPOSE: To synthesize a dihydrodiol compound and a catechol compound from the corresponding aromatic hydrocarbon under normal temperature and pressure condition in high selectivity by using a cell transformed with a gene. ;CONSTITUTION: An aromatic ring dioxygenase gene and an aromatic ring dihydrodiol dehydrogenase gene are separated from Pseudomonas fluorescens SD805 (FERM P-13544) capable of producing dihydrodiol compound and catechol compound from aromatic compound and the detailed structures of the genes are determined to confirm a specific region coding for aromatic ring dioxygenase and aromatic ring dihydrodiol dehydrogenase. The objective aromatic dihydrodiol compound and catechol compound are produced by using a microbial cell transformed with a gene containing the above specific region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
