PURPOSE: To provide the subject film enabling seeds and seedlings to be protected and raised, so designer that both side ends of a film drawn in its longer direction are provided with tack agent layers, respectively, and a folded part is provided in its longer direction. ;CONSTITUTION: Both side ends of a film f drawn in its longer direction and perforated with small holes f2 in rows at intervals in the longer direction are provided with respective tacky agent layers n each consisting of an adhesive tape applied to the side end so as to be partly projected out of the side end, and a folded part f1 is also provided in the longer direction, thus obtaining the objective protective film H. A seed and seedling P is planted through a penetrating hole C1 partly provided on a cover film C laid so as to cover a ridge V, and the protective film H is superposed on the cover film C so as to cover the folded part f1 of the protective film H on the seed and seedling P and the tacky faces of the adhesive tapes projected from both the side ends of the film H are pressed on and applied to the cover film C, thus protecting the planted seed and seedling P with the protective film H.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
