PURPOSE:To provide the entrance examination pass-fail inquiring method which enables a pass-fail result to be inquired through telephone and guarantees the reliability of the inquiry contents by the university authorities, and is short in calling wait time at the time of the telephone inquiry. CONSTITUTION:Examinee individual information including pass-fail data, etc., which is generated by the university authorities is inputted to a host computer 2 installed in an information processing center B, this host computer 2 can be accessed from everywhere in Japan by using a push-button telephone set 3, and a pass-fail result is answered through an audio response device in response to even access by push-button operation is answered. The numbers of examinees to which access right is assigned in respective time zones are previously given deviation values and then examinees who actually access the host computer in the respective time zones are made uniform in number.
