METHOD FOR EJECTING STEEL SLAB FROM WALKING BEAM TYPE HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: To stably eject a steel slab with a fork even if sagging in the steel slab is developed by making movable beams laying a steel slab in the ascending condition, inserting the fork below the steel slab, descending the movable beams and ascending the fork. ;CONSTITUTION: The discharger fork 4 is matched to the height of the opening part in a furnace and the sagged slab 1 is ascended by using the movable skid beams 2. Successively, the fork 4 is inserted into the furnace and waited to be just below the slab 1, and the movable beams 2 are descended to lay the slab 1 on fixing skid beams 3 or the fork 4. Further, the fork 4 is ascended to shift the slab 1 on the fork 4 and the fork 4 is retreated to be ejected to the outside of the furnace, and by descending the fork 4, the slab 1 is shifted on a table roller 6. By this method, even if the sagging in the slab 1 caused by heating treatment is developed, the sagged part of the slab and the fork 4 do not collide and the slab 1 can stably be ejected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
