PURPOSE:To provide the subject feed containing nucleoproteins originated from the spermaries of fishes and extremely effective for maintaining the health of horses because of remarkably increasing the durability and recovering force of the horses. CONSTITUTION:This feed comprises nucleoproteins originated from the spermaries of fishes or contains the nucleoproteins as a main component. The nucleoproteins originated from the spermaries of the fishes are generally obtained by grinding the spermaries of the fishes, subjecting the ground product to a centrifugal treatment and, if necessary, water-washing and drying the solid content comprising the nucleoproteins in the lower layer of the centrifugally treated product. The feed is obtained e.g. by grinding the spermaries of the fishes, subjecting the ground product to a centrifugal treatment, adding roasted rice bran and water to the obtained nucleoproteins, and subsequently drying the mixture.
