PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a soluble membrane protein, capable of extremely efficiently expressing and producing the soluble membrane protein and capable of obtaining nobel antibodies against the membrane proteins whose productions have been difficult or impossible. ;CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a soluble membrane protein comprises producing a vector into which a DNA sequence comprising a DNA sequence coding an amino acid sequence composing the signal sequence of a membrane protein or an excreted protein, introducing a DNA sequence coding an amino acid sequence substantially composing the extracellular region of a desired membrane protein or a DNA sequence coding an amino acid sequence substantially composing the extracellular region of mouse IL-3 receptor β subunit AIC2A, transforming a host cell with the produced vector, culturing the transformed cell in a medium, and subsequently collecting the produced soluble membrane protein contained in the culture supernatant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
