WATER-HAMMER PHENOMENON PREVENTING DEVICE IN WATER AND HOT WATER FEED HEADER

PURPOSE: To prevent a water-hammer phenomenon and constantly secure appropriate water quantity by fitting governors respectively to the branch ports of headers reaching individual faucets. ;CONSTITUTION: In the case of a multiple dwelling house, for instance, water and hot water fed to combination faucets 9 reaches water and hot water feed headers 11 via a branch pipeline 2 branched from a main pipe 1 and reaches the combination faucets 9 after being branced at branch ports of the headers 11. The feed quantity of water or hot water flows out to the combination faucet 9 side after being controlled into the flow preset by a governor 12 regardless of the change of water pressure so as to prevent or reduce the generation of a water-hammer phenomenon. Even in the case of the combination faucet 9 being suddenly closed, since the flow is regulated into such flow as to prevent or reduce the generation of the water-hammer phenomenon, water-hammer waves are small and do not come out as the water-hammer phenomenon.
