PURPOSE: To develop a composite plating metallic material excellent in wear resistance and sliding property by forming an Ni based or Co based multiple plating layer, having microcapsules incorporating a lubricating oil or furthermore specific ceramic fine particles dispersed and codeposited, on the surface of a metallic base material. ;CONSTITUTION: An iron based metallic material such as carbon steel or a non- ferrous metal such as A1 is electroplated by dipping into a plating solution containing Ni, Co or their alloy. In the plating solution, 10g/l microcapsules 3 incorporating the lubricating oil such as a mineral oil and made of a polyethylene or the like, 0.1-20g/l of a surfactant cationic, anionic, nonionic or the like or furthermore °20g/l ceramic fine particles of SiC, Bn, MoS2 or the like are incorporated.
