AGENT FOR FORMING LEATHERY SURFACE LAYER HAVING MOISTURE ABSORBING AND DESORBING PROPERTY EXCELLENT IN SCUFF RESISTANCE

PURPOSE: To provide an agent for forming a leathery surface layer having excellent moisture absorbing and desorbing properties excellent in scuff resistance capable of imparting properties close to those of natural leather to the surface of a sheetlike material, furniture, a household appliance, etc., by application thereto. ;CONSTITUTION: The agent for forming a leathery surface layer comprises both of collagen powder and an organic solvent-soluble synthetic resin powder in an agent for forming the surface layer containing an organic solvent-soluble synthetic resin as a binder. The adding and blending ratio of the collagen powder to the organic solvent-insoluble synthetic resin powder is 20-80wt.% collagen powder and 80-20wt.% organic solvent-insoluble synthetic resin powder. The total amount of the added synthetic resin binder, the collagen powder and organic solvent-insoluble synthetic resin powder is characterized as 5-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. solid content of the synthetic resin binder. The resultant leathery surface layer has moisture absorbing and desorbing properties excellent in scuff resistance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
