PURPOSE:To provide a high-rise housing shelves for steel plates, which can house wide, long and heavy steel plates and with which administration of number of lot of steel plate is facilitated with an equal space simultaneously and which is suitable for automatic high-rise warehouse equipment. CONSTITUTION:Plural steel plate housing spaces 3 are provided, which are partitioned into plural numbers in the vertical direction and the lateral direction to house steel plates P one by one and of which rear part is inclined upward. In the bottom part of these steel plate housing spaces 3, plural endless roller chains 16, which can be moved freely with guide of a chain support 15 arranged along the fore and aft direction and which can support a steel plate P on the chain support 15 through a supporting roller 16a, are arranged in the lateral direction with a predetermined space. A load receiving guide roller 18 for guiding carry-in/out of the steel plate P is provided in front of each roller chain 16, and a stopper device 21 for preventing a fall-out of the steel plate P is arranged in front of each steel plate housing space 3 at the carry-in/out side.
