PURPOSE: To prevent a going by rail paying only for first and last sections of the ride to be the unfair use of a communication ticket by utilizing an automatic ticket examination machine. ;CONSTITUTION: A communication ticket 2 where a train use section and term information are recorded is provided with a getting on and off code column 4 composed of a magnetic recording surface, an automatic ticket examination machine 6 for getting on is provided with a magnetic writing device recording a getting on code in the getting on and off code column 4 after this getting on and off code column 4 is read and an automatic ticket examination machine for getting off is provided with a magnetic writing device recording a getting off code in this column 4 after the getting on and off code column 4 is read. The automatic ticket examination machine 6 for getting on reads the getting on and off code column 4 and closes a gate when the communication ticket 2 where the getting on code is preliminarily recorded is inserted in a getting on side communication ticket insertion port. When the communication ticket 2 where the getting off code is preliminarily recorded is inserted, the automatic ticket examination machine 6 holds a state that the gate is opened. The automatic ticket examination machine 6 holes a state that the gate is opened. The automatic getting on ar code column 4 and closes the gate when the communication ticket 2 where the getting off code is preliminarily recorded is inserted in a getting off side communication ticket insertion port.
