GAS FLOW TYPE PROPORTIONAL COUNTER TUBE CORRECTING MEASUREMENT ERROR DUE TO FLUCTUATION OF GAS PRESSURE

PURPOSE: To eliminate measurement error due to fluctuation of gas pressure by monitoring gas pressure, calculating a gas amplification factor at that point, and then calculating the energy on incident X-ray photons based on the factor. ;CONSTITUTION: A pressure transducer means 1 converts the pressure in a gas chamber to an electrical signal and then outputs it to a gas amplification factor operation means 3 in real time. The operation means 3 calculates the gas amplification factor at that point based on an input electrical signal and then outputs it to an energy calculating means 4, while the calculating means 4 calculates the energy, etc., of incident X-rays according to the gas amplification factor and the voltage value from an preamplifier 2 at that point, thus achieving an accurate measurement without being affected by the change, etc., in the atmospheric pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
