PURPOSE: To provide means for automatically releasing a separate tape adhered to an anisotropically conductive tape before leads of electronic components are bonded to the conductive tape adhered to a display panel. ;CONSTITUTION: The method for releasing a separate tape for an anisotropically conductive tape comprises the steps of disposing an adhesive tape 17 fed from a supply reel 12 above a separate tape 4 on the conductive tape 3 adhered to a display panel 1, pressing it to the tape 4 by a presser 20 to adhere the tape 4 to a lower surface of the tape 17, then raising the presser 20 to partly release the tape 4 from the tape 3, and then forcibly releasing the tape 4 from the tape 3 by advancing a moving element 47 along the downside of the tape 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
