PURPOSE: To improve milling efficiency by passing wheat between at least two sets of grinding members while mutually moving two sets of grinding members. ;CONSTITUTION: Prepared wheat is passed through a bran removing machine to remove almost all of bran and germ without reducing size of albumen and thereby pearled wheat is formed. That is, the tempered wheat from a bin 108 is passed through another magnetic separator 112 and is carried to a first bran removing machine 10A by fifth bucket lifts 110, 110a. Partially pearled wheat from the machine 10A is flowed into a second bran removing machine 10B to manufacture the pearled wheat. Thereby the germ and the outer bran layer, amounting of at least about 5% of the initial weight of the wheat, can be removed without substantially reducing average size of the albumen. Then the pearled wheat is applied to a roller mill as a supply raw material and the roller mill removes additional bran and reduces the size of the albumen to form a fine milled wheat product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
