Method and device for the placement of an object in a desired location on acarrier with the assistance of an object carrying manipulator, whereby, withthe assistance of a video recording-device an image is made of a referenceelement, and the object, from which the position of the object in regard tothe reference element is determined. Next, the object and the referenceelement are brought in the vicinity of the desired position of the carrierwith the aid of the manipulator, after which with the help of the videorecording device an image is made of the reference element and at least apart of the carrier on which the object is to be placed. From this picture,the position of the carrier in regard to the reference element is determined,after which the manipulator is relocated such that the object is placed inthe desired position on the carrier.IMAGE
