The invention consists of a seat, made of synthetic resin or any otherfloating material, jointly composed of a back and a seat part, anchored bysimple engagement in a base and/or in wall-mounted fasteners. Between theback and the seat part is provided a hollow space through which theshipwrecked person may engage his/her body. In the event of danger,passengers thus have a personal and instantaneous rescue means giving themsufficient floating time to get out of danger and/or wait for help.
