The invention relates to antigenic polypeptides or peptide fragments and their variations which can be used as vaccine for protection from infections caused by parasites of the species Echinococcus or Taenia, especially for infections with E. granulosus. The antigens are produced by expression of the DNA encoding them in recombinant host cell.
