Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of formula (I) wherein X is O, S or methylene, Y is chlorine or bromine, Z is SO2, NH2, nitro or C1-4 alkyl carbon, r is zero to 3, o is zero to 3, p is zero or 1, m is 1 or 2, and n is zero or 1, have lipoxygenase and prostaglandin H-synthase activity. The pharmaceutical compositions may be used in the form of emulsions, ointments, gels, sprays, powders and the like for the topical or inhalation treatment of inflammatory, allergic or spasmolytic diseases or psoriasis, bronchial asthma or cell proliferative disease.
