Use, for obtaining medications intended for the treatment of memory disorders, intellectual disorders of senility and Alzheimer's disease, of 1,3,7-trimethyl-8-[4-(diethylaminocarbonyl-3-piperazinopropyl] xanthine and of its physiologically tolerable acid addition salts.
