Boat which is propelled by solar energy, muscle power and by using frames of a tent structure as the sail

Supporting structure, with freedom to rotate about a plurality of axes, for photovoltaic (and thermal) solar panels and a sail (canvas) frame, for propelling a boat or vehicle on wheels, skis, etc. The panels and sails can be oriented in all directions in order to make optimum use of sun and wind or to minimise wind resistance, and to serve as part of a tent structure. In transparent form, the sail can be used as a window of the tent structure. In reflective form, the sail can provide for a higher yield from the solar panels. A plurality of these supporting structures can be rotated synchronously about their vertical axes by means of a belt or chain which runs around the structures and connects them to one another.
