The present invention is directed to a DNA sequence comprising two partial DNA sequences, one partial sequence coding for a fragment of the alpha - and/or the beta -chain of the human interleukin-5 receptor which fragment or combination of fragments binds human interleukin-5 and the other partial sequence coding for the constant domains of a heavy- or a light chain of a human immunoglobulin such as IgG, IgA, IgM or IgE or a part thereof, a vector comprising such a DNA sequence, a pro- or eukaryotic host cell transformed with such a vector, a recombinant protein coded for by such a DNA sequence, a process for the preparation of such recombinant protein and a pharmaceutical composition containing such a recombinant protein.
